A service that provides holographic recreations of deceased loved ones and allows a man to come face-to-face with the younger version of his late father-in-law.

  • Review

American Independent director Michael Almereyda is famous for exceptional imagination in Experimenter(2015) and tells a futuristic story with Marjorie Prime. In the near Artificial Intelligence (AI) common future, 86 year old Marjorie who is gradually losing her memory, gets a dead-husband-look-alike-AI buddy. Marjorie gradually falls into the AI that it programmed to stories of her life memories. If you can choose, what will you remember and forget? Based on a play by Jordan Harrison, Marjorie Prime is a dense indoor theater style film that makes the audience think about the problems we face nowadays. This film explores memories, identities, love, loss, etc., and investigates the desolated human conditions. The movie reminds us of Spike Jonze´s Her and shows noteworthy performances by Tim Robbins, Geena Davis, etc. [JANG Byungwon]
