  • Review

Fiona from Canada goes to Paris after receiving a letter from Aunt Martha. When she finally gets there, she´s not home. So, she wanders around. Because she is timid, everything in Paris is strange, even if they speak French. She ends up falling into the Seine, losing all her belongings. Later, she meets a homeless person with her stuff. This strange guy continues to hit on her, while she tries to escape. Lost in Paris portrays characters’ feelings and unfolds the drama through facial expressions and gestures often seen in the silent, slapstick comedies. It is interesting to watch the characters played by the directors of the film, Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon. The original title is Lost which implicates the things lost and the miscommunication between the two. This comedy reveals the ironies in life through the amiable scenery of Paris. [LEE Sang-yong]
